Spring into SHAPE Wellness Challenge
March 31 – May 11 (6 Weeks)
SHAPE PA and NeverStopMoving365 are partnering to present our next wellness challenge! Get moving and build healthy habits with our Spring into Shape Challenge! Earn points daily by making healthy choices, and use them to enter for a chance to win great prizes—including a brand-new pair of sneakers! 💪 Let’s challenge ourselves, support one another, and SPRING into better health together!
This FREE wellness challenge is open to all SHAPE PA members and Pre-K–12th grade students across Pennsylvania (public, private, and cyber schools). We encourage educators to promote this opportunity to their students—who will have a separate prize pool just for them! Click here for our student flyer and learn more information below:
How to Earn Points Daily:
🏃 1 point per 10 minutes of physical activity (minimum intensity: brisk walk)
🥦 1 point for eating at least 1 vegetable
🍎 1 point for eating at least 1 fruit
🧘 1 point for completing a mental health activity (mindfulness, journaling, deep breathing, gratitude, etc.)
*You can earn unlimited points for physical activity, but fruit, vegetable, and mental health activity points are capped at 1 point per day each, regardless of the amount consumed or completed.
🌟 Weekly Bonus Challenges
Earn +2 extra points per day by completing the Healthy Habit Challenge of the Week!
💧 Week 1: Hydration Hero (Drink More Water)
Goal: Drink at least 64* oz. of water daily. *40 oz. for elementary-aged kids
Why? Staying hydrated boosts energy, improves focus, and supports overall health!
🚶 Week 2: Move More Challenge (Get Your Steps In)
Goal: Walk at least 8,000 steps per day.
Why? Walking improves heart health, reduces stress, and increases daily movement!
😴 Week 3: Sleep Smart (Prioritize Rest)
Goal: Get *7+ hours of sleep every night (adults). 9+ hours for elementary kids; 8+ hours for secondary kids
Why? Quality sleep helps with recovery, focus, and overall well-being!
📵 Week 4: Tech Timeout (Limit Screen Time)
Goal: Spend less than 2 hours on screens outside of work/school.
Why? Reducing screen time improves focus, sleep quality, and mental health!
🥦 Week 5: Colorful Plate Challenge (Eat More Nutrients)
Goal: Eat at least 3 different colors of fruits & veggies daily OR try a new fruit or veggie
Why? A colorful diet provides a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants!
🙏 Week 6: Gratitude Growth (Practice Positivity)
Goal: Write down 3 things you’re grateful for each day.
Why? Gratitude boosts happiness, reduces stress, and fosters a positive mindset!
These weekly challenges encourage small, impactful habits that support long-term wellness.
How do I track my points?
Track your points daily using our official scorecard or any method that suits you best.. For our elementary-aged students, here’s an alternative scorecard. Each week, you'll receive an email prompting you to log your points from the previous week and providing details on the upcoming Weekly Bonus Challenge. At the end of the six-week challenge, you'll submit your total points.
how do I win a prize?:
To qualify for our grand prize drawings, you must accumulate at least 230 points by the end of the challenge. If you reach 460+ points, your name will be entered twice, doubling your chances of winning!
